Adoption and children's homes

Our adoption service places children with families. We have a lot of experience in matching children and adopters. Our children's homes provide ​residential care for looked after children.

In our adoption service and residential homes, we strive to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people.

The adoption service recruit and assess prospective adopters, through to their approval at panel. They work closely with the children's social work team to match children and young people with adopters. The team also provide training and support to all adopters.

We have five children's homes in the county, providing a safe and secure environment for looked after children.

What does the job involve?

To deliver and provide social work services, at a level appropriate for a professionally qualified post, to young people and families to ensure the welfare of children and young people is safeguarded and they are protected in accordance with the legal and statutory obligations of North and West Northamptonshire Council's.

Salary £33 568 - £36 597 dependent on experience and £8,000 towards relocation.
